Tom Cruise Talks Katie Homles and Daughter

Tom Cruise has sat down with Oprah Winfrey for the first time since his infamous “couch jumping” incident. The talk show host headed to his Colorado home for the first part of the interview. They talk about his love for wife Katie Holmes and their daughter Suri.

Winfrey first asks him about his jumping on her sofa to profess love for then-girlfriend Holmes. “When we finished that show with you jumping on the sofa, I was like, ‘Wow. What was that? I had no idea it was going to turn into an international brouhaha, as I’m sure you did not either,” Winfrey said.

“I felt that way, and I feel that way about her. I can’t even articulate it, to be honest. That feeling, that connection. Just who she is and what she means to me,” Cruise said.

As for their daughter Suri, Cruise said he and Holmes just wanted to keep her out of the media as long as possible to enjoy the special moments. “We just wanted to have out baby, have the kids and everyone get to know Suri, get the family up here and just chill and have that time that you never get back,” he explained.
