John Mayer and Minka Kelly Split

John Mayer and his girlfriend Minka Kelly have split, according to sources. Insiders tell People that the break up actually occurred over a month ago but Kelly wanted to keep it quiet.

“Minka told a couple friends that she and John had broken up but she really didn’t want to tell anyone,” said a friend of the 27-year-old ‘Friday Night Lights’ star.

The pair are “still friends” and still see one another occasionally. Kelly appeared at Mayer’s December concert in Los Angeles and headed to an after-party with him. Several days later they had drinks together at a Hollywood hotel.
Mayer, 30, has previously dated Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jessica Simpson.
