Dr. Phil Denies Violating Britney Spears Family

Dr. Phil McGraw has slammed accusations that he “violated the trust” of Britney Spears’ family. A Spears family spokesperson recently said that Britney was never set to go on the Dr. Phil’s show like he had announced.

McGraw has hit back at the accusations saying it was the family’s idea for the troubled singer to appear on the show, not his.

The rep also said the Spears’ never “invited” McGraw to make public statements about the singer situation and hospitalization last Thursday night. McGraw insists that he was only doing what the Spears’ ask.

Lynne Spears asked McGraw to go see Britney in the hospital following her custody standoff with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. After the visit McGraw announced that Britney was in great need of medical attention but the Spears family didn’t appreciate the comment. .

“There’s some spokesperson that’s been out there talking to the contrary, and I’m just sitting here saying the truth, and so does everyone in the Spears camp,” McGraw says.
