Christopher Bowman Found Dead in Motel

Former Figure skating champ and ‘Little House on the Prairie’ actor Chris Bowman was found dead in a motel room yesterday after an apparent drug overdose. Authorities say they received a call for “probable drug over dose” at the Budget Inn in San Federnando Valley.

The 40-year-old was pronounced dead at 12:06 p.m. Bowman had struggled with drugs for most of his life. In the 1980’s he checked into the Betty Ford Center to treat a “$950-a-day cocaine habit.”

Bowman’s skating earned him nicknames such as “Bowman the Showman” and “Hans Brinker From Hell.” He finished fourth place in the 1992 Olympics and won two medals at the World Championships.

Bowman also had a part in acting. As a child he appeared in several episodes of ‘Little House on the Prairie.” His most recent role was in the upcoming film “Down and Distance.”
